ICS and Jelly Bean usage increases slow and steady

Google has upped their monthly diagram on how the different versions of Android are doing user-wise.

Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean are slowly chipping away at Gingerbread‘s iron grasp on the market (now at 50.6%, down with 3.4%), noting a 1.7% increase in Ice Cream Sandwich (now at 27.5%) and a modest, but significant 0.8% growth for Jelly Bean (now at about 7%).

Apparently, all those sold-out Nexuses managed to make a dent at the Android market, and the quickly selling cutting-edge Android handsets that ship with ICS are contributing to establishing contemporary versions of the platform. Still, ol’ Ginger has a long way to go.
