The Taiwanese company tries to revitalize its smartphone portfolio as the old ”One” family begins to become a distant memory. There were some HTC 11 rumors, but nothing followed those rumors, and the new “U” series is getting a new member.
After unveiling the HTC U Play and and HTC U Ultra models, the Taiwanese company is preparing to unveil the HTC U (Ocean) model and Evan Blass, a.k.a. @evleaks is here to give us some more details.
It seems that the new HTC smartphone will sport a 5.5-inch QHD display and under the hood it will harbor a Snapdragon 835 chipset, with octa-core processor and Adreno 540 GPU. It will come in 3 GB and 4 GB RAM versions and 64 GB and 128 GB internal storage options.
All of this will be powered by a 3,000 mAh battery and the Android 7.0 Nougat software platform. As about the cameras, Blass has no clear info, but from previous rumors it might pack a dual 12 MP main camera and a 16 MP selfie snapper. But this has to be confirmed again.
According to Blass, the phone should be unveiled launched in stores early next month, but we might see an unveiling event, later this month.
