Yesterday HTC unveiled their new flagship – the One, at the same time in London and New York. The One is truly the first of its kind with its quad-core Snapdragon 600 CPU clocked at 1.7GHz already destroying everything in its path in benchmarks. The majestic 4.7 inch Full HD Super LCD3 display with 468ppi pixel density has Gorilla Glass 2 covering and the body is made entirely of aluminium using HTC’s zero-gap construction method.
The One has 2GB RAM, Adreno 320 GPU, 2300mAh battery, 32/64GB storage space, GPS & GLONASS navigation, infra-red port for TV remote control and Sense 5 running on top of Android 4.1.2. In an unprecedened move HTC will ditch the icon rows on the Android homescreen for the BlinkFeed service – a rather spectacular news aggregator.
The One has BoomSound technology incorporating a pair of frontal speakers and two microphones for noise cancellation and clarity of calls. It’s camera is a unique contraption – a 4MP sensor with 4 microns big pixels that absorb three times more light than other competing smartphones.
This is the HTC One in a nutshell. Expect it to debut in 41 countries across Europe very very soon!
