HTC and Samsung win awards at MWC

Looks like the HTC One has taken the GSMA award for “Best new mobile device” at this year’s MWC. The jury consists of industry experts, analysts and journaists. The winner of this price is said to become the best selling device of the year. HTC One also took the awards for “Best smartphone” from Tech Radar and Mobile Geeks.

Meanwhile, Samsung can add these trophies to their gallery for the second year in a row: “Device maker of the year” and “Best smartphone” from Global Mobile Awards. The winner is the Galaxy S3, sold in a quantity of 40 million making it the best-selling device in Samsung’s history. The S3 follows the footsteps of its predecessor, the Galaxy S2, who won GSM Association’s award for “Best smartphone” in 2012.

The Galaxy Camera also won the award for best user device with mobile functionality.
