From the what-can-Hollywood-produce series, this time emojis are next to be turned into a movie, simply because they are popular enough, and have the potential to sell. Sony Pictures Animation has won a pitch auction with these yellow symbols that people use to communicate. If Minions can, why not emojis too?
There are no more details on this movie, except the fact that it was promoted by Anthony Leondis, the director of Lilo&Stitch 2, with help from the TV producer Eric Siegel. Nevertheless, if the movie does not succeed among the people, promoting merchandise with these emojis will still be possible until there will be nothing more to gain from all this yellow story.Source: engadget
