It feels like Google lost their patience and can’t wait until the new Pixel 2 series will be unveiled and they offered us an “Easter egg” in Play Store.
The company has updated the Data Transfer Tool on its app store and it clearly shows it’s going to be compatible with the Google Pixel 2 smartphones that are expected to be unveiled on October 5th.
How do we know that? Well, Google posted a screenshot from the app. We can see the message, “You need your old Android or iPhone device. Turn it on, and keep it unlocked”. Under the message there’s a drawing. The device on the right is one of the Google Pixel 2 smartphones. As you can see it reveals a bigger screen ratio and there are drawn two speakers, on top and bellow the screen. The current models don’t feature stereo speakers and all rumors suggest that the new Pixels will get stereo speakers.
There you go. We’re thinking that this is a PR stunt. Lately, with all the buzz around Galaxy Note 8, LG V30, iPhone 8, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 or Huawei Mate 10, tipsters and journalist ignored the upcoming Pixels. We think Google wanted to get our attention. Guess what? They did it! 😀
