Google shows the Glass apps at SXSW

Google has shown how familiar apps such as The NY Times, Evernote, Path and their own weather and translation service will look and feel like on the Glass smart-glasses (now banned in one city!). The apps will control by a combination of gestures, voice commands and touch input and will supply the wearer with a controlled amount of information as to not clutter his view. For example, this means the NYT app will disply only the headlines, and Gmail can be configured to alert you only for important messages.
