Galaxy S8 Active gets WiFi certification

- Adrian Ungureanu

Well, it seems that the rumors are true and Samsung will launch a new variant of Galaxy S8, as the company received a certificate from the WiFi Alliance, for the Galaxy S8 Active.

The first rumors appeared last week, but now, this proves that Samsung is going to launch Galaxy S8. Unfortunately, the WiFi Alliance doesn’t offer to many details with their certificates about the new products.

We only get confirmation that it’ll run Android 7.0 Nougat, but that shouldn’t be a surprise for anybody. We expect a rugged flagship, resistant to water, dust and most importantly to drops. Specs-wise, we expect a downgrade, in comparison with the Galaxy S8 and S8+.
