Galaxy S10 to get in-display fingerprint reader developed by Samsung

There has been much talk on this topic since last year, even before the Galaxy S8 and S8+ models were launched, then the subject was resumed with the following smartphones, Galaxy Note 8 and the Galaxy S9 series.

Obviously, there were rumors about the installation of a fingerprint sensor integrated into the display on Galaxy Note 9 too. The latest information also denied this possibility.

It seems, however, that Samsung wants to keep the best for the Galaxy S10, the model that will celebrate the 10th anniversary since the launch of the first Galaxy S smartphone.

That’s why the latest rumors once again deny the possibility that the in-display fingerprint sensor will be installed on Galaxy Note 9, but will be installed for the first time on the Galaxy S10,

This sensor is an ultrasonic one, which is said to be more accurate that the optical solutions implemented by Synaptics. Samsung has finalized the development stage and the sensor is ready for production, but it is a costly process and Samsung is now trying to find a cheaper production process.

In addition, it seems that Samsung wants to use this ultrasonic sensor on other types of devices, not just on smartphones, so the Korean tech giant may not hurry and install it on Galaxy Note 9 and would start using the new technology will be completely ready.
