As promised Samsung has launched a new Galaxy J7 variant, the second dual camera smartphone ever from the Korean company and the first budget dual camera smartphone from Samsung, the Galaxy J7+.
The Thai subsidiary of Samsung did announced a couple of weeks ago that Galaxy J7+ would “be arriving soon” and it was launched in the country this weekend.
As it siblings the new J7+ sports a SuperAMOLED Full HD display, but it has different specs when we look inside of it. There’s a different chipset. The standard J7 and J7 Pro for instance are powered by an Exynos 7870 chipset, but the octa-core processor from J7+ isn’t specified, but due to its 2.4GHz frequency it feels more like a MediaTek P20. Galaxy J7+ has 4GB of RAM, 1 GB more than is brothers.
Going to the camera department, we’ll find a dual camera at the back, a 13MP and 5MP combo, offering new camera modes. At the front, selfie lovers will find a 16MP sensor which should satisfy their needs.
The phone is fueled by a 3,000 mAh, it features a fingerprint scanner housed in the Home button and it is sold in Thailand for THB 12,900, which is around $390/€325. No word about its availability in other countries, but certainly it’ll be introduced in other markets.
