Foxconn testing TV designs for Apple?

Those Apple TV rumours have started heating up since Tim Cook acknowledged television sets to be “an area of intense interest” for his company. According to the latest gossip spread by news ageny Focus Taiwan, technology maker Foxconn are currently doing initial testing of television designs with sizes ranging from 46 to 55 inches. Apparently Apple are going for an adequate size that should fit every living room, instead of something impressive and overwhelming. Unfortunately, production is not set to begin in 2013.

Speculations surfaced around an eventual showing of the long awaited Apple tv’s at the upcoming CES event, but this seems mighty unlikely given Apple has consistently held its own events. An announcement as big as the introduction of a new brand/device will most likely be made at its own special event.
