First images of low-cost iPhone appear

Chinese supply chain sources have supplied us with what could be the first images of Apple’s low-cost iPhone. The two pictures are from two different sources and both show a similar device with an eurgonomic back panel made of plastic. It’s pretty much what the iPhone 3GS had before aluminium and glass took over in the iPhone 4. The phone itself is put inside a bumper shell and it cannot be seen if it contains any different materials in its construction. However, it has a visible lighting port, 3.5mm jack and loudspeaker. Apple usually put their prototypes in such cases to conceal their design from the prying eyes of journalists and bloggers. So chances are that these images are authentic.
