Finnish media YLE News has asked 1000 finns on their smartphone preferences. 49% of them stated that their next smartphone will be a Lumia. Which is pretty good, considering how many recent launches the company has had. However, in 2011 interest was substantially bigger. 68% of the surveyed wanted to buy a homegrown smartphone.
The survey shows some quirky local tendencies. For example, Samsung is currently favoured mostly by finnish farmers. Apparently Windows Phone and Nokia aren’t farm workers’ thing. Regardless, 43% of finns who acquire 70 000 euros or more annualy are Nokia fans and only 15% of them are into the iPhone. This could turn out well for Nokia, considering the astronomic price of the Lumia 1020.Source: PhoneArena
