Starting today, European telecoms are incapable of charging more than 0.45 eur/MB for data, 0.24 eur/min for outgoing calls, 0.07 eur/min for incoming calls and 0.08 per SMS in the EU zone. Unfortunately these prices do not contain VAT, but by the end of 2014 roaming taxes are set to disappear alltogether.
Some readers say that roaming prices have now become cheaper than inside prices which is a pretty awkward situation.
Today Croatia joined the European Union. If you are travelling there, or anywhere in the EU for that matter, you will be charged with the new taxes.
