Nomura Securities, part of Nomura Holdings, one of the biggest financial holding in the world, claims it has some important information about Apple’s plans for its iPhone in 2018.
One thing was already speculated, that Apple will also launch three smartphones in 2018. All of them will inherit iPhone X’s top notch in the screen. All of them will have edge-to-edge screens. Two of them will have OLED panels and the third one will get LCD panels.
About the two OLED iPhones, one will have a 5.8-inch screen, while the other will be huge – 6.5 inches. It’ll be the biggest iPhone ever. And one of the biggest smartphone in 2018, overall. Currently, the largest screen stand a 6.43 inches. The Galaxy Note 8, so instance, has a 6.3-inch display. Nomura claims that the 6.5-inch iPhone will be dual-SIM, which will be a premiere for Apple.
It’s still very early to talk about certainties now. Plans might change. I have faith that Nomura Securities has some information, but it’s very unlikely for these plans to have been finalized. This might just be one of options Apple is taking into account.
