Apple release iOS 6.1.3 update

Just a short while after updating Mountain Lion to 10.8.3, Apple released iOS 6.1.3 to address two pressing issues. First is a security exploit that blows the iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4G and iPad 2 wide open by allowing someone to cancel a call to your phone by pressing its power button, bring up the Phone app and browse your data – calls, pictures, messages, FaceTime and all kinds of information meant for your eyes only.

Next are improvements made to Apple Maps for Japan – better pronouncing of GPS directions and 3D visuals, with speculation of similar adjustments made for maps of Baltimore, Cleveland, Mineapolis, Vancouver and Glazgow.
