Even though it was officially unveiled at the beginning of February and some new smartwatches with Android Wear 2.0 have been launched by various producers, no old models with Android Wear 1.0 versions on board received the possibility to upgrade to the newer version.
But it looks like next week the first Android Wear 2.0 updates will become available. Only three models for the time being. So, Fossil Q Founder, Casio Smart Outdoor Watch and Tag Heuer Connected users will have the possibility to update starting with April 4.
This was confirmed by Google officials so these aren’t just rumors. Unfortunately there are no information on what models could be next to receive the update, but the list should expand in the following months. It pretty much depend on watches developers as well, how fast the updates can be roll out, not just on Google.
