Android game console OUYA launches officially

The open-source gaming console OUYA has launched today. The price is $99. The box features one controller, and a separate one costs $49.

The OUYA runs on a supercharged Tegra 3 chipset and is compatible with most Android titles, but not every one of them is optimised for controller gaming. However, every game in the console’s store can be tried out for free. An upcoming exclusive is the game “TowerFall”.

You can check which places offer the console at Ouya’s website. For Europe, the most comfortable places seem UK’s Amazon and Game.
