Apple set an incredible sales record with their iPhone 6 generation, selling approximately 231 million units in one year. There are high expectations for this year’s iPhones, which include the anniversary model, the much anticipated iPhone 8.
Yet, not everybody thinks that there will be a super-cycle that big as happened in 2015. Three analysts for Deutsche Bank estimate that it would be difficult for the new iPhone even to approach de 230 million units milestone, let alone pass it.
There are high hopes that iPhone 8 will fuel this super-cycle, but the analysts think that the rumored price tag of $1,000 might be the main reason why Apple won’t beat its own record.
