Alexander Dimitrov will be the new CEO of Mobiltel

Alexander Dimitrov (pictured) will be the new CEO of Mobiltel, the change comes into force on the 1st of October, 2015. He will take over from Thanasis Katsiroubas, who decided to leave Mtel after 5 and a half years in the Telekom Austria Group.

Alexander Dimitrov worked in the telecommunications industry for 15 years. He is currently Chief Commercial Officer of Vivacom. Mr. Dimitrov has held a number of senior positions, including CEO of Germanos Telecom Bulgaria before joining Vivacom in November 2008.

I wish all the best to the great people who work in the company, and my successor Alexander, “said Thanasis Katsiroubas.

Thanasis Katsiroubas became CEO and Chief Marketing Officer of Mtel on October 1, 2013. Under his leadership, the company went through hard times of reorganization, confirmed its leading position in Bulgaria and the Mtel brand back of first place in the market. He personally led the launch of DTH service Mtel and modernization of the telecom network, which is now ready for rapid introduction of 4G LTE technology. As CEO of Mtel Mr. Katsirubas signed the first agreement on national roaming in Bulgaria. He has more than 20 years experience in the telecommunications industry several mobile operators in Southeast Europe.
