- Adrian Ungureanu

It seem Asus prepares a new camera focused smartphone, this time one that seems to be less expensive then those form the Zenfone Zoom series, which also packs a very generous battery.

The phone just got TENAA certification and as you probably already know, the Chinese authorities are very generous with information regarding the newly certified products. Si lets see what this new phone brings.

It was registered as Asus X00KD and it sports a 5-inch HD (720p) diplay, quad-core at 1,25GHz MediaTek processor, 2GB and 3GB of RAM versions and 16GB and 32 GB internal storage options. Also, for those who wish more storage, the new smartphone has a slot for microSD cards up to 2 TB.

Going to the interesting stuff, the X00KD packs a dual camera at the back, comprised from a 13 MP sensor and another of 8 MP. At the front we will find a 5 MP selfie snapper. The smartphone is fueled by a 4.020 mAh, which should offer more hours of on time that your average models.

As you can see. This model doesn’t look to be a flagship, more like a low-midrange smartphone so is expected that its price won’t go higher than $200. Still, there are no official information about the price or its release date, but we should fine soon on which Zenfone family will join.
