- Telekom Romania continues to support excellence in education by launching the seventh edition of “Telekom Scholarships” program;
- For the first time, apart from the ten scholarships awarded, Telekom Romania will also grant five special awards.
Ten students from Romania can benefit, during the 2016-2017 university year, from an excellence scholarship awarded by Telekom Romania within the 7th edition of the “Telekom Scholarships” program. The value of each of these is of 11,250 lei, granted in monthly during the current university year.
The “Telekom Scholarships” program aims at identifying young people with leadership potential, passionate about their field of study, with a proven academic track record and clearly defined career goals, who have made themselves visible through their extracurricular and volunteering implication.

As usual, the selection of the beneficiaries of the 10 scholarships will be done in two stages: file applications and interviews. Eligible candidates are 1st year students, under 30 years old, enrolled in daily programs offered by accredited Romanian public higher-education institutions regardless of the field of study. Applications by file must be submitted until November 10th, according to the terms and conditions of the Rules of Participation available on www.burseletelekom.ro.
Between 21st-22nd of November will take place the interviews with the 20 finalists. The 10 winners of the 2016 edition of “Telekom Scholarships “program will be announced on November 25th. The jury which will meet the finalists consists of: Mihaela Perianu (founder and Managing Partner at AIMS Human Capital, and founder and Managing Partner of the Dale Carnegie Training), Cristina Bazavan (journalist and blogger), Sorin Psatta (Lector at the University of Bucharest Faculty of Journalism and Communication Sciences and Strategy Director at Graffiti BBDO Romania), Alina Luca (Internal Communication Senior Coordinator, Events and Corporative Responsibility Telekom Romania), Daniela Samsonescu and Dan Alexandru Ţoc, both former Telekom Romania scholars.
This year, besides the 10 scholarships offered, 5 special prizes consisting in Samsung Galaxy Tab A9.7 tablets will be awarded, based on the score received following the interview phase.
Since the launch of the program, over 2,400 young people have joined the competition, 95 of them receiving financial support from Telekom Romania.
